It's unbelievably delicious and simple to make. I definitely recommend it for a simple tea party or gathering with you friends!
Ingredients:
4 tablespoons (53 grams) milk, at room temperature 3 large (150 grams) eggs, at room temperature 2 teaspoons (8 grams) pure vanilla extract 1 1/4 cups (150 grams) cake flour 1/4 teaspoon (1 gram) salt 1 teaspoon (4 grams) baking powder 3/4 cup (170 grams) unsalted butter, at room temperature 1/2 cup (100 grams) granulated white sugar
Instructions:
Preheat your oven to 350 F (180 C) and butter or spray with a non stick vegetable spray, a 9 x 5 x 3 inch (23 x 13 x 8 cm) loaf pan. Line the bottom of the pan with parchment paper and butter or spray the paper.
In a bowl, whisk 3 large (150 grams) eggs, stir in 4 tablespoons (53 grams) milk and 2 teaspoons (8 grams) pure vanilla extract.
In a bowl, mix together 1 1/4 cups (150 grams) of cake flour, 1/4 teaspoon (1 gram) of salt, 1 teaspoon (4 grams) of baking powder, whisk and set aside.
In the bowl of your electric stand mixer, fitted with the paddle attachment (or with a hand mixer), beat together 1/2 cup (100 grams) of granulated white sugar, and 4 cups (170 grams) of unsalted butter. Beat on low to medium speed until well mixed. Scrape down the sides and bottom of the bowl as needed.
Add the egg mixture (in two additions), alternately with the flour mixture (in two additions), beating well after each addition. Scrape down the sides and bottom of the bowl as needed.
Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top.
Bake for about 55 to 65 minutes or until the cake is golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean. If you find the cake browning too much as it bakes, cover with a piece of lightly buttered foil.
Remove the cake from the oven and place on a wire rack and let it cool. Serve and enjoy!
