The best homemade Orange Cake! This is the easiest orange cake with just few ingredients. This cake has a soft, moist crumb, not too sweet and loaded with orange flavor.
Ingredients:
2 cups (260 grams) all purpose flour 3 teaspoons (12 grams) baking powder 1/2 teaspoon (2 grams) salt 1 seedless sweet orange Zest from 1 orange 3 large eggs (165 grams) , room temperature 1/3 cup (75 ml) vegetable oil 1/2 cup (100 grams) granulated white sugar
Instructions:
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F(180 degrees C). Butter, or spray with a non stick vegetable spray, a 9 x 5 x 3 inch (23 x 13 x 8 cm) loaf pan. Line the bottom of the pan with parchment paper.
In a large bowl, combine 2 cups of flour, 3 tsp baking powder and 1/2 teaspoon salt.
In a blender, combine 1 seedless orange, zest of orange, 3 large eggs at room temperature, 1/3 cup vegetable oil and 1/2 cup granulated white sugar.
Transfer wet mixture to flour mixture. Mix just until combined. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top with an offset spatula or the back of a spoon.
Bake for about 35-40 minutes or until the cake is golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean. If you find the cake browning too much as it bakes, cover with a piece of lightly buttered foil.
